I was so excited to meet this little guy...

I photographed mom and dad's wedding waaaaayyy back in 2005 (i think?!)  I went through my archives, thinking I'd post a photo from their wedding day, but - gasp! - I shot it on film!  Probably one of the last that I did - crazy how much things have changed in just a few short years....makes me all nostalgic!

Anyhow - their little guy is such a doll!

Rachel + Ryan had a beautiful wedding yesterday at the Henry Ford Museum. 

We started the day at the Dearborn Inn, where the whole crew was getting ready.  I always enjoy this part of the day!

Canon has *finally* put us out of our misery and announced the new 5d markII.  21 megapixels of goodness  - plus HD video!  And can you say ISO 25600?  Can't wait to get my hand on one ;-)

I'd been looking forward all week to this shoot - but Saturday rolled around and we had just about the worst weather imaginable - i'm talking grey skies, constant downpours - the kind of day that makes you just want to curl up with a good book and some hot chocolate!

But these guys totally took it in stride!  Rescheduling wasn't really an option, as we had some out-of-towners along, so we decided to meet up at their home and go for it.

I personally love these kinds of 'real-life' sessions.  I imagine that images like these will really be treasured as years go by and kids get older ;-)

Met up with tim + jennifer earlier this week for a casual shoot around ann arbor.  these two are newly engaged, and only just beginning to think about their actual wedding day plans.  but I love that they wanted to do engagement photos right away to capture this special time ;-)

Jamie and Anthony were married last weekend at Travis Pointe Country Club in Ann Arbor - we couldn't have gotten more perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony!

I loved everything about this wedding!

Emily and Jon were married in an intimate, laid-back affair at Cobblestone Farms in Ann Arbor.  their day was such a perfect representation of the kind of couple (and people!) they are - no DJ, garter toss or cake cutting - just good friends and family celebrating together.  It was a total blast to photograph.  more people should get married in barns.  for reals!

Rachel's Bat Mitzvah last weekend was a blast!

the evening party was held at Hotel Baronette.  They decorated the ballroom with life-size renditions of many popular magazines - re-imagined, of course, starring the bat mitzvah girl!  Such a fun, creative theme!

now - get ready to be IMPRESSED!  this is artwork by Rachel that was displayed around the foyer.  LOVE these!  I would totally hang them in my house.  And she is only 13!  amazing.

This was pretty much a perfect day!

I got to photograph Sarah's sister Donelle's wedding last year, so it felt like we were all old friends!  Matt and Sarah are an absolutely adorable couple - and so in love, it was just a joy to be around them ;-) 

I started off the day getting ready with the girls at Sarah's parents' place.
